Bhadrachalam paper mill of ITC Paperboards & Specialty Papers Division is a largest single location paper mill in India & produces around 210000 TPY of papers & boards. After investing huge amount in upgrading their manufacturing facility ITC started feeling bottleneck in material storage & management.

Challenges:

ITC had chosen Godrej Koerber Supply Chain Ltd. (GKSCL) to install High Density Automated Storage & Retrieval System (AS/RS) to match their operational needs. The Automated System consists of two extremely high-speed Storage & Retrieval Machines (SRM), which work perfectly in tandem with each other in four Aisles.

Solutions Implemented:

Overall Dimensions: 78 Meter (L) X 14 Meter (W) X 18.5 Meter (H).
2 Storage Retrieval Machines.
Input/Output Conveyors, Elevators integrated with ASRS.
3562 pallet positions.
Handling rate (Pallets/Hour) : 72
